I met Ronny in 1972. His friend Billy Herdon and my friend Mevin Cotie together the four of us became fast and close friends. Though we had other friends we always came back together to travel up and down the east coast. Mostly between Maryland and North Carolina. In 1976 Billy passed, then in the 80's Melvin went back to Puerto Rico. During the 80's Ronny worked for a company in Rockville and I had a job with the National Park Service, we were both starting to settle down. I moved to Hagerstown and Ronny stayed with his Mom. We were always in touch and got together when time permitted. On Memorial Day we always went to the VietNam Memorial (The Wall) together. If you can imagine a Cherokee, a Puerto Rican, a West Virgina Hillbilly, and a Jew, traveling together as friends. It was a time and experiance that will always be with me. Ronny my friend you will be dearly remembered and missed.
